This comprehensive renovation in Lewisham showcases how thoughtful design and strategic reconfiguration can breathe new life into a London home.

Originally split into separate, disconnected rooms, the ground floor was completely reimagined to create a seamless, open-plan living area. Recommended by architects at Rosie, MyExtension was tasked with turning a long-held vision into a reality, managing everything from the complex demolition phase to the finest finishing touches.

Bold Design Meets Natural Light

The heart of this Lewisham home is the new kitchen and dining space, designed specifically for modern family life. We achieved a striking balance of materials, pairing bold dark cabinetry and a statement kitchen island with warm timber finishes. To maximise the sense of space, we installed expansive glazing and rooflights, ensuring the area is flooded with natural light throughout the day. The dining area now opens directly onto the terrace, creating a perfect flow for both daily living and entertaining.

By removing the walls between the original dining room, kitchen, and utility room, we eliminated the 'disjointed' feel of the property. The new layout was carefully planned to maximise flow and functionality, providing the family with much-needed room to grow. Clean architectural lines and soft furnishings work together to ensure the home feels contemporary yet invitingly comfortable, reflecting a deep attention to detail at every stage of the build.
